How to convert EPUB to PDF

  1. Pick the page size (A4 or US Letter) and a font in the settings above.
  2. Drop your .epub files onto the box above, or click it to pick them. Kindle MOBI, AZW3, KFX and FictionBook books work too.
  3. Download each PDF, or click Download all for one ZIP.

How the PDF is made

An EPUB has no fixed pages; it reflows to the screen. To make a PDF, the book's text is typeset onto real pages: headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, quotes and links, with page numbers and a PDF bookmark for each chapter, so the outline panel works as a table of contents.

Fonts and page size

Choose A4 or US Letter and one of nine fonts: serif faces such as Source Serif 4, Merriweather, Lora and Libre Baskerville read best for novels, and sans faces such as Inter or IBM Plex Sans suit technical books.

What is not kept

The book's own CSS styling, such as decorative fonts, drop caps and fixed-layout pages, is not reproduced. Comic and picture-book EPUBs with fixed layouts are better kept as EPUB.

Is my book uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in this page with open-source engines compiled to WebAssembly. The engine downloads once the first time you convert and your browser caches it. Your files never leave your device, and there is no account or file-size quota.

Can I convert Kindle books to PDF?

Yes, if they are DRM-free. Drop the MOBI, AZW3 or KFX file and it is read as EPUB first, then typeset to PDF.

Will the PDF have the same page numbers as the printed book?

No. The PDF is typeset fresh, so its page numbers depend on the page size and font you choose.
