Fill PDF Forms · online
Open a fillable PDF, type your answers, tick the boxes, sign it, and download it with everything saved. It all happens in your browser, so the form never leaves your device.
How to fill out a PDF form online
- Drop the PDF form onto the box above. If it has fillable fields, they light up and Fill form is selected.
- Click a field and type. Tick checkboxes, choose radio buttons and pick from drop-down lists. Use the page list on the left for multi-page forms; your answers stay when you switch pages.
- To sign, click Sign and draw, type or upload your signature, then place it on the page. Other tools let you add notes, highlights or a date anywhere.
- Click Download PDF. Tick flatten form first if the answers should no longer be editable.
Your answers are saved properly
Many free tools only paint your text on top of the page, leaving the real form fields empty underneath. Here the answers are written into the form fields themselves, so the PDF opens with them filled in Adobe Acrobat, macOS Preview, Chrome, Edge and other readers, and you or the recipient can still change them there. Accented and non-Latin letters, such as Č, Ž, Ñ, Greek or Cyrillic, are kept.
If the form should be final, flatten it: the answers become part of the page and the fields are removed, which also stops them from being changed by accident.
Private by design
Forms tend to hold the most personal data people have: tax numbers, addresses, bank details, health information. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab, so the form and your answers are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone else. There is no account and nothing to install.
What it can and cannot fill
- Works: standard fillable PDF forms (AcroForms) made in Acrobat, Word, LibreOffice and most form builders, including government forms such as the IRS W-9. Text boxes, multi-line boxes, checkboxes, radio buttons and drop-down lists are supported.
- Not supported: dynamic XFA forms, which only Adobe Acrobat Reader can fill. The tool tells you when it sees one. Form scripts that calculate totals or validate answers do not run, so check any calculated fields yourself.
- No fields? A scanned or flat PDF has nothing to click into. Use the Text tool to type anywhere on the page instead.
- Signatures: the Sign tool adds a visible signature image. It is not a certificate-based digital signature.
