Resize Video · TikTok, Reels, Shorts & Instagram

Turn a video into 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9. Crop it and drag to choose what stays in the picture, or keep the whole video with a blurred background or bars. Safe-zone guides show where the app's buttons and captions will sit.

Videos are processed on your device. Nothing is uploaded, no watermark.

How to resize a video for social media

  1. Drop a video onto the box above.
  2. Pick the shape: 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 4:5 or 1:1 for Instagram posts, 16:9 for YouTube.
  3. Choose Crop and drag the preview to frame it, or Blurred background or Bars to keep the whole video. Turn on the safe zones to check nothing important hides behind the app's buttons.

Safe zones

Short-video apps cover the bottom of the screen with your caption, user name and music, and the right edge with like, comment and share buttons. The guides mark those areas for 9:16 videos, so faces, text and logos stay visible.

Frequently asked questions

Crop, blurred background or bars: which should I use?

Crop fills the screen and works when the important part fits the new shape. Blurred background keeps everything visible with a soft fill made from the video itself. Bars keep everything on a plain colour of your choice.

Is my video uploaded or watermarked?

Neither. The video is processed in your browser tab and the result has no watermark. Re-encoding at 1080p takes a while on long videos; 720p is about twice as fast.
