Combine Videos · Join Clips Into One
Put several clips together into one video. Clips from the same phone or camera are joined in seconds without re-encoding, so nothing loses quality. Different clips are matched to one size and re-encoded.
How to combine videos
- Drop two or more clips onto the box above. You can add more later.
- Drag them into the right order, or use the arrow buttons.
- Click Combine videos and save the result.
Joined without re-encoding
Clips recorded on the same phone or camera with the same settings share the same video format down to the encoder settings. For those, the tool builds one new file that contains all the original frames, one clip after another, with the timing tables merged. Nothing is decoded or compressed again, so the quality is identical, multi-gigabyte clips work, and it takes seconds.
The tool checks every clip first and tells you exactly what differs when they don't match, such as a different resolution, frame shape, codec or rotation. Then re-encoding is the reliable way to join them.
Sound stays in sync
The sound of all clips is rebuilt once into a single track, each clip's sound cut or padded to exactly the length of its picture. Small differences between sound and picture therefore never add up over many clips, the result stays in sync in every player, and clips with different sound formats or no sound at all can still be joined. A clip without sound gets silence of the right length.
This means the sound is re-encoded once to AAC at the quality of the best clip, while the picture stays byte for byte. If one clip's sound can't be read, that clip gets silence and the tool tells you.
The combined file takes its recording date and location from the first clip.
